Holiday Happenings on the Last Weekend Before Christmas

We’re down to the final four days before Christmas! Fortunately, that doesn’t mean there aren’t still plenty of great events besides shopping going on around Boston, from rock concerts to theater productions. With all the talent in the area, Boston and its artists will continue spreading holiday cheer throughout the weekend and well beyond. The many seasonal options on Friday 12/21, Saturday 12/22, and Sunday 12/23 include (all times EST):
A Christmas Celtic Sojourn

The Eight: Reindeer Monologues
See—there really is something for everyone. Check out the YouTube trailer to get an advance idea of what’s in store for attendees.

Irving Berlin’s White Christmas
Make room for the classics during this musical presentation at the Citi Performing Arts Center Wang Theatre. According to Citi: “The classic holiday movie has come to life as a spectacular Broadway musical for the whole family. Silent Night of the Lambs
For the thriller lovers among us, Ryan Landry’s stage production featuring the Gold Dust Orphans offers yet another bizarre take on traditional Christmas conventions. The following adapted stanza from the classic Xmas tune “Santa Claus Is Coming Town” says it all: “He knows if you’ve been naughty/He knows if you’ve been nice/He’ll cut out both your kidneys/And serve them up with rice!” Lovely. There’s even a Clarice Starling character played by actor Penny Champayne, in addition to Larry Coen as Santa Claus.
